Triple Pursuit Sports

Fashion and sport collide!

Family, Friends, Athletes, and all –

It is such an honor to be one of Athleta’s 2012 sponsored athletes. Please check out the link below and see all these incredible women. What an honor!!

I also hope you get a chance to become familiar with the Athleta brand, if you aren’t already. My relationship with Athleta goes back to the beginning. In 1998, when Athleta opened in nearby Petaluma, I took off for my first Ironman with strict orders to test a few of the products. I was instantly ‘hooked,’ not just on the wonderful idea of athlete clothes for just women, but by the culture of the company. There was an authentic desire to provide for the hard-core, tom-boy type no matter the age and activity. And the clothes were awesome – colorful, stylish, functional. Like today’s Athleta I was also thrilled with a new paradigm for “professional” dress. Today’s Athleta, owned by the Gap, has taken the professional “jock” outft and the many  clothes for many sports to new heights. Thumb through a catalog, look on line, or meet me at the Athleta store in Mill Valley! I’ll show you my favorite items and I’m sure we can find a few new favorites for yourself (or your favorite gal pal).

Look for an invitation coming soon for a party at the store. We’re aiming for Valentine’s Day – so save the date until further notice!

Feed your passion!

I’m coaching and blogging!

Dear Friends!

Happy New Year! I wish you and yours a happy, healthy, productive and peaceful 2012.

I’m very excited to announce my new venture – Triple Pursuit for the journey, for the podium, for life! I’m a coach and consultant!

Here’s the background: half-way through 2011 a light went off. It was time for me to “give back” on my lifetime of great success as an amateur world-class athlete. I have competed internationally in a range of sports for the past 40 years: running, triathlon, alpine and nordic skiing, mountain biking, tennis, and others. In the past 12 years my focus has been on ironman distance triathlon and 50K ultrarunning. Over time I found that I had a solid “bag or tricks.” Some might call it “best practices” and “great techniques.” Many say, I’m driven by passion and a super supportive husband. In my early years it was my identical twin, world champion xterra triathlete, Barbara Peterson. In any case, in my journey I see many who want to have the lifestyle of healthy, extreme sports, family, work that matters, even friends. So, as a master of much of this, I want to “give back.” I am now open for business as a multi-sport/endurance coach and consultant!

My new company is called Triple Pursuit. Much of the time, as a coach, I team up with friend and fellow athlete, Dario Fredricks, owner and Head Coach of Whole Athlete. We each wish we could combine each other’s strengths into one person, but there are not enough hours in the day. So together (and separately) we want to address our clients’ needs. The short of it is, I have my own practice, Triple Purpsuit AND I am a multisport coach for Dario/Whole Athlete.

There a lots of details to share. Please contact me directly if you want to hear more. My website is growing daily so come back and look to see what’s new. I’ll share great articles, photos, tips, links to my sponsors, race reports, group workouts, “traincation” opportunities, etc. Please make suggestions. What do you want to hear about?

Also, please find me on Facebook so we can be that kind of friend, too!

For the journey, for the podium, for life!
